TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) head Agus Rahardjo has spoken about the possibility of Golkar Party as a suspect in the bribery case of Riau-1 steam power plant (PLTU) project.
“We will later find the fact, data, and evidence [of the role of Golkar in the project),” said Agus today, September 20, in the KPK building, South Jakarta.
The status determination of Golkar Party as a legal entity would be based on the Supreme Court Regulation (Perma) No. 13/2016 concerning Procedures on Handling Corporate Crime.

KPK earlier named three people as suspect, the House’s Energy Commission Eni Maulana Saragih, a shareholder of Blackgold Natural Resources Limited Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo, as well as former Social Minister and Golkar secretary-general Idrus Marham.
Eni Saragih and Idrus Marham were allegedly received Rp6.25 billion from Kotjo. Eni testified some Rp2 billion was used to fund Golkar Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) in December 2017.
Eni had returned a total of Rp500 million to KPK, while Golkar officials had sent Rp700 million. The figure was listed as evidence of an alleged bribe case of a project owned by PT PLN worth US$900 million.
KPK has probed several witnesses from Golkar party in the bribery case of Riau-1 PLTU project, including former House speaker and Golkar chairman Setya Novanto, Setya’s son Rheza Herwindo, and Golkar faction head Melchias Marcus Mekeng.
