TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Through its distributor PT Datascrip, Canon introduced its new full-frame mirrorless EOS R and RF lens in its EOS product lineup in Indonesia, which was originally released globally on September 5.

“This is the camera that has been expected to enter Indonesia by professional photographers. The general public might consider taking images can be done with a smart phone, a pocket camera, but that is not for the professionals,” said Canon Division Director PT Datascrip Merry Harun at Kuningan, South Jakarta on Tuesday, September 18.

The EOS R’s specifications start from its high-range ISO flexibility that can be set from ISO 100 up to ISO 400,000 with a suppressed amount of noise, which is more than helpful for photographers taking images under minimum environment lighting.

The EOS R is also equipped with Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF that enables it to lock focus an object within its 5,655 focus points in a very short amount of time, the focus points are spread 100 percent vertically and 88 percent horizontally.

“The presence of the EOS R is hoped to maintain Canon’s position as the leader of Indonesia’s camera market,’ said Merry. The Canon EOS R is priced at Rp39.999 million while the RF 24-105 mm f/4L IS USM Lens has a hefty Rp59.999 million price tag.

Meanwhile, Canon`s RF lens is offered to further complete its EOS lineup with a 54 mm lens mount. It is offered in four options; RS 50 mm f/1.2L USM, RF 24-105 mm f/4L IS USM, RF 28-70 mm f/2L USM and RF 35 mm f/1.8 IS STM. There is also an adapter compatible with EF lenses.
