Jokowi Commits to Develop Trade Partnership with Czech

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo delivered his commitment to developing the trade partnership with the Republic of Czech.
“I commit to further enhance the partnership with the Czech Republic in various sectors, particularly in trade and industry sector,” said Jokowi at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, September 17.
Accompanied the president in welcoming the delegations of Czech Republic were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Working Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs AM Fachir when welcoming.

The delegation of Czech Republic presented at the meeting were Czech Senate Chairman Milan Stech, Senator Tomas Grulich, Senator Ludek Jenista, Senator Hassan Mezian, Senator Lumir Kantor, and Senator Radko Martinek.
The meeting also attended by Czech Ambassador for Indonesian Ivan Hotek and Czech’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry deputy chairman Michael Steffi.
According to Jokowi, the Czech Republic and Indonesia was a long time friend. Czech was one of the European countries that recognized the independence of Indonesia.
“In this opportunity, I would like to deliver gratitude for Czech support for Indonesia to be the non-permanent member of the UN Security Council 2019-2020,” Jokowi said.
Meanwhile, Milan Stech delivered his appreciation for the warm welcome of Indonesia. “Thank you, on behalf of our delegation, we say that the bilateral relations between Czech and Indonesia have no problem,” said Milan during a meeting with President Jokowi.
