Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto Returns to Football as Assistant Coach

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, former striker of the Indonesian National Football Team, returns. The 42-year-old has been appointed as the assistant coach to the national team, which is now helmed by Bima Sakti and Danurwindo.
Kurniawan said he was not surprised by the decision, as he had "maintained communication with coach Bima and Danur," he said during a press conference in Cikarang, Monday, September 10.
Kurniawan was Indonesia's top striker during his field days between 1995 and 2005, bagging 31 national goals. He also took a course to get the A license for coaching from the AFC.
The man said he is ready to give his best for the Indonesian team as part of the coaches team.
