TEMPO.CO, Jember - State-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia or PT PT KAI again held the ‘Drink Coffee with KAI’ Festival for two days from Monday to Tuesday, September 10-11, at Jember Station. KAI prepared a total of 50,000 cups of coffee at 15 stations, 12 cities and in 36 train coaches.
This second coffee festival is themed "Drink Coffee with KAI #2 - Enjoy Your Journey With Indonesian Coffee". The event, which is also held to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of KAI, was opened by the PT KAI vice president for operational region 9, Heri Siswanto.

"This event is expected to provide education and insight about Indonesian coffees so as to improve the competitiveness of Indonesian coffees in the wider community," said Heri on Monday, September 10.
The various types of coffee presented received appreciation from the Indonesian Record Museum or MURI as "The Initiator and Organizer of the Most Coffees on Train and in Station".
This event will provide 2,000 cups of coffee daily and involve five professional local baristas. To join the event, people and train users should simply show the KAI Access application that has been installed and registered on their phones to PT KAI officers at the station and on the coaches.
