45 Years of Indonesia-S. Korea Ties, Jokowi Meets Moon Jae-in

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo arrived in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday evening, September 9. Jokowi would have a bilateral meeting with his counterpart President Moon Jae-in in the State Palace of South Korea.
Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi in her press statement said 2018 is an important year for Indonesia and South Korea. "We commemorate 45 years of diplomatic ties between Indonesia and South Korea," said the Minister on Monday, September 10.
A bilateral meeting with President Moon would be held at the Blue House. Both would sign a memorandum of understanding. In the evening, Jokowi and First Lady Iriana were scheduled to attend a state dinner at the Blue House.

Before the meeting, Jokowi would meet company leaders of South Korea, as well as open the forum session of VIP business at the Lotte Hotel, Seoul.
The President and First Lady and the entourage then would head to Changdeok Palace to attend the state welcoming ceremony and the National Cemetery. "After the official welcoming ceremony, President and First Lady of both countries will join in the friendship talk."
From the National Cemetery, Jokowi and Iriana would have lunch at the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul, followed by a launching event of the Information Services and Protection System of Indonesian Citizens Abroad dubbed Portal Peduli WNI.
