TEMPO.CO, Bogor - The management of Soekarno-Hatta airport received a complaint delivered by a man over his parking bill that reached Rp1.3 million.

Febri Toga Simatupang, Senior Manager of Branch Communication and Legal of Soekarno-Hatta airport, said the company that managed the parking operations was currently examining the matter.

“PT APS is now following up the case,” said Febri when Tempo contacted, Friday, September 7.

The complaint on the high parking tariff went viral on social media. Through a Twitter account under name @RezaIrdiansyah, the parking user explained his objection.

The man named Reza Irdiansyah demanded the Transportation Ministry and the SOE Ministry review the parking rate at Soekarno-Hatta airport. “I don’t know about the charge and so I guarantee my STNK because I cannot pay the parking bill worth Rp1,327,000 for 6 days and 14 hours.”

In his tweet, Reza uploaded a parking ticket and the receipt of his the vehicle registration certificates (STNK) as the insurance.

Febri said the case was due to the user’s negligence who did not thoroughly use the parking service. “He should have known if he would park his car for six days, he could take overnight parking, instead of regular parking,” said Febri.

According to Febri, the charge of regular and overnight parking at Soekarno-Hatta airport is set different. “It is cheaper to use overnight parking if the car left for days,” he added.
