Ahok`s Life Story to be Made Into a Film  

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The life story of the former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok will be made into a film. It was announced by Ahok’s team through various social media, one of which was through @basukibtp Instagram account, on Wednesday, September 5.

“Thank you to the cast and crew who have worked hard to make the 'A Man Called Ahok' film,” Ahok wrote on @basukibtp account managed by his team.

Ahok hopes that the film can inspire the Indonesian people. “I wish you success, joy, and my best prayer so that the film released in 2018 can be watched by the whole community,” wrote Ahok.

In the upload, there was a poster for the film. The actor Daniel Mananta or VJ Daniel was also seen on the poster wearing glasses, plaid shirts, and middle split hair. “A film about the relationship of a child and father in realizing dreams and visions,” Daniel said.

The film written by Putrama Tuta which was inspired by a Rudi Valinka’s novel will tell the story of Ahok’s life while in East Belitung. However, it is not known yet when exactly the film will be released.
