TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The railroad track of Cipinang to Klender route was broken in half on Wednesday morning around 5:37 am, it caused the commuter train trip to be disrupted.
However, PT Indonesian Commuter Train ensured that the train can still pass at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour at that location.
“Indeed there was a problem on the railroad, after checking at 6:12 am, the train could pass again,” said Communications VP of PT Indonesian Commuter Train (KCI) Eva Chairunisa on Wednesday, September 5.
Eva could not elaborate on the cause of the broken railroad track that was often passed by electric trains, airport trains, Java trains, and freight trains. She explained that currently the evaluation was still carried out by the PT KAI DAOP 1 team.
The broken railroad had received complaints from several passengers on Twitter. They complained that the damage occurred during peak hours and the long-distance trains were more prioritized through the route than the train itself. “The commuter train does not appear on Bekasi station, but other trains keep passing on line 1 and 4, I feel neglected,” said @dinaruuu account.
