TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2018 Asian Games is over, but that doesn’t mean the Jakarta Police's work for securing sports events is over. Polda Metro Jaya is now preparing to secure the 2018 Asian Para Games.
"We are preparing everything now. Hopefully all goes according to plan," Polda Metro Jaya deputy police chief Brig. Gen. Wahyu Hadiningrat said on Wednesday, September 5.
Wahyu said the police still have to hold several meetings to discuss the security officers' preparations. Wahyu called on the public to support the police and the TNI Army.
The 2018 Asian Games officially ended with a closing ceremony at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) on September 2. Indonesia will host the Asian Para Games for athletes with disabilities from October 6 to 13.
