TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) Secretary Gatot S Dewa Broto said a letter requesting the former Minister of Youth and Sports Roy Suryo to return state property had no intention to defile his dignity and name.
The letter numbered 513/SET.BIII/V/2018 made on May 1, 2018, contained a request for the return of 3,226 units of State Property (BMN) that are still carried by Roy Suryo.
“What is clear, the letter was from me, but I did not bring it to the public, and I have no purpose for [spreading] it,” Gatot said, Wednesday, September 5.
Gatot also explained that the letter to Roy Suryo had been sent three times, in 2014, 2015 and 2018. He also said that his party was still waiting for Roy Suryo's response and had not planned to take a further step.
“I did not bring any state property of the Ministry of Youth and Sports,” said Roy Suryo, Tuesday, September 4.
The Democrat Party politician suspected that the letter was a slander to defile his dignity and name on this political year.
