TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf "JK" Kalla briefed Monday legislative candidates of the National Democrat Party (Nasdem) at Mercure Ancol Hotel, North Jakarta.
On the occassion, JK reminded the Nasdem cadres not to become 4Ds [Datang, Duduk, Diam, Duit or Come, Sit, Be Quiet, Get Paid]. "Don't just come, sit, be quiet and get paid," he said.
JK said the abbrevation could even become worse into 5Ds, viz. come, sit, be quiet, get paid and get arrested.

The vice president also urged the cadres to hone their skills as lawmakers, including the aptitude to speak, discusss and debate, and keep learning and reading books. "Participate in the discussions to avert the 4Ds: come, sit, be quiet and get paid. You could turn into 5Ds, and get arrested," JK said.
JK added the candidates should also develop other necessary skills as lawmakers, including comprehending the national system and situation, planning future programs, and listening patiently. "If you don't have the patience to listen to the people, you won't be heard," he said.
