TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A Transjakarta bus rolled over on Jl. Tentara Pelajar, Patal Senayan towards Simprug, Sunday morning, August 26. PT Transjakarta spokesperson Wibowo said no casualty was reported due to the incident.
"There are no victims since there are no passengers on board. The bus is on the way to its pool," said Wibowo in a short message today, August 26.
According to Wibowo, the incident took place around 6 AM this morning. The BMP 117 bus was heading to the pool for its service.
After crossing the traffic lights of Palmerah Station, West Jakarta, a motorcycle at high speed trying to overtake the bus from the left side. "To prevent the accident, the bus driver turn the wheel in the opposite direction to avoid a collision," Bowo explained.
According to Jakarta Police official Twitter account @TMCPoldaMetro, the bus was successfully evacuated around 9 AM using a tow truck.
"At 09:07 AM Transjakarta bus that was rolled over at Patal Senayan towards Simprug has been evacuated by a tow truck. The traffic in Pakubuwono to Jl. Hang Tuah is normal again," as quoted from Jakarta Police @TMCPoldaMetro account.
