Prabowo - Sandiaga Focus on Economic Issues for Non-Muslim Voters

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto and his running mate Sandiaga Uno are attempting to attract votes from non-Muslim demographic for the 2019 presidential election. One of the ways the pair prepped is to introduce a program to pander to millennials and housewives.
“Our main focus is on economic issues and we already have an attractive offer for millennials and housewives,” said vice president hopeful Sandiaga Uno in Jakarta yesterday, August 22.
Sandiaga further elaborated that his campaign focus for the upcoming election will be more on economic issues since he is certain that the people of Indonesia need a dependable economic concept.
Related to the upcoming election, the majority of pollsters claim that Prabowo Subianto’s electability still rates below Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Such as the poll conducted by Lingkaran Survei Denny JA claims that Prabowo-Sandiaga has a 29.5 percent electability, a stark contrast to Jokowi-Ma’ruf with 52.2 percent electability.
The Jokowi-Ma’ruf pair is said to be more preferable with a total 52.7 percent electability among the Muslim voters, while Prabowo-Sandiaga managed to attract 27.9 percent vote.
Meanwhile, Head of Gerindra Party’s central board (DPP) Habiburokhman optimistically said that Prabowo and Sandiaga will not lose the Muslim voters from Ma’aruf Amin.
