TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia secured more gold medals as the country's men paragliding team won the team Accuracy match on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, while the country's women team comes in the second position.
The men's team ranked first with 1104 points, followed by South Korea with 1771 points and Thailand with 1901 points.
The five Indonesian male athletes, namely Aris Apriansyah, Joni Efendi, Jafro Megawanto, Paradigma Hening and Roni Pratama, earned 315, 272, 70, 228, 64, and 95 points in each round.
Meanwhile, the women's team won the silver medal with 2122 points. Thailand secured a gold medal with 2045 points, and in third place was South Korea with 2363 points.
The Indonesian female athletes were Lis Andriana, Ike Ayu Wulandari, and Rika Wijayanti. They got 343 in the first round, 183 points in the second round, 640 points in the third round, 247 points in the fourth round, 624 points in the fifth round and 85 points in the sixth round.
The 2018 Asian Games Paragliding Sports Manager Wahyu Yuda Dewanto, said the medals will be presented to the winners on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
