Depok Govt Inspects 29,000 Sacrificial Animals in 400 Stalls

TEMPO.CO, Depok - Ahead of Eid al-Adha (Islamic day of Sacrifice), Depok administration conducted an inspection and monitoring the health of livestock in 434 stalls.
Depok Food Resilience and Agriculture and Livestock Security Agency (DKPPP), Dede Zuraida, said his officers would monitor as many as 29,403 livestock.
“The location spread throughout 11 districts,” Dede told Tempo, Monday, August 20. He added the health check would be held in the slaughtering houses which amounted to 400 spots throughout Depok.
Depok administration, Dede said, had prepared 5,000 animal health certificates (SKHH) as well as the health sign for 8,000 sacrificial animals. “We will also provide 550 signs of stall check,” he said.
A seller of sacrificial animals in Grand Depok City named Rohman said the health monitoring on sacrificial animals was annually conducted ahead of Eid al-Adha. “At least 10 days before the D-day.”
