Ahok Launches Book Today in Filateli Building

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaya Purnama alias Ahok launched a book titled Kebijakan Ahok (Ahok's Policy) on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Filateli building in Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

The book is written by Ahok during his imprisonment at Mako Brimob penitentiary in Depok.

The simple launching event is attended by Ahok's family and former Jakarta Deputy Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat who accompanied Ahok in ruling the city several years ago.

One of Ahok's staffs Sakti Budiono, said that the book is expected to be a reference for those who prepare to enter the legislative or executive institutions.

"The book is written based on his experiences. Hopefully, it can be a guide for the community who'd like to partake in legislative or executive institutions," Sakti said on Thursday, August 16, 2018.

Earlier, the invitation to the book launching event circulated on messaging application Whatsapp among journalists on Thursday afternoon, August 16, 2018. The event seemed to be a surprise posted on Ahok's Instagram account, @basukibtp on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
