TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Deputy of Human Resources Division at Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Setiawan Wangsaatmadja said the preparation to establish the 2018 civil servant enrollment test (CPNS) this year has 90 percent completed.

“Hopefully, no change arises, so it [the recruitment] can be opened this month,” said Setiawan at PANRB Ministry building on Wednesday, August 15.

However, he could not confirm the date considering the schedule should be discussed with the newly-sworn minister, Syafruddin.

The former deputy chief of National Police Syafruddin was recently inaugurated by President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo this morning, August 15, to replace Asman Abnur. Hence talks on CPNS test has not taken place yet.

The latest preparation of the CPNS test was regarding the job formation. According to Setiawan, there were a lot of detailed formations including positions and regions to be occupied.

“We don’t want the state institutions to recruit without a clear purpose which is not in line with organization goals,” said Setiawan. ”So, we deeply examine it and that takes a long time.”

He further mentioned no problem emerges in the budget to organize the CPNS test since the recruitment merely to fulfill the vacant position of retired civil servants.
