TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ma`ruf Amin, Jokowi’s pair, underwent the medical checkup at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital (RSPAD), he was checked fully by the doctor on Sunday, August 12. A day later, Sandiaga Uno, Prabowo Subianto’s pair, will do the same on Monday.
Ma’ruf arrived around 8:00 am with Jokowi. He claimed to have fasting as a part of the pre-checkup requirements for 16 points of health. “Nothing, it’s usual,” said Ma'ruf at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, Sunday, August 12.
Sandiaga Uno went jogging this morning at the Ancol Triathlon event at Pantai Lagoon, North Jakarta. “Get enough rest, sleep. I have planned with friends to swim, but it was canceled because the doctor advised me to rest. I just did a relaxation, only jogging for five kilometers,” he said.
Chairman of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Ilham Oetama Marsis estimates that the medical checkup last for 9 to 12 hours. The results will be submitted to the General Election Commission (KPU) by the IDI health team and RSPAD no later than two days after.
“The conclusion of the medical checkup is whether the candidate is able or not, physically and spiritually, and whether they are positive or negative in abuse of narcotics, psychotropic substances and other addictive substances,” he said.
KPU is scheduled to determine the pair of candidates for president and vice president participating in the 2019 Election on September 20.
