Inapgoc: 200 Volunteers to Welcome Asian Para Games Delegation

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Asian Para Games Organizing Committee or Inapgoc has prepared 200 special volunteers to welcome and assist the Asian Para Games athletes and officials using wheelchairs.

“We will assign 200 volunteers in Soekarno-Hatta and Halim Perdana Kusuma airports,” said Andrianto Soejarwo as the director of Arrival Departed and Logistic, Tuesday, August 7.

The volunteers, Andrianto said, were trained to welcome and assist disabled athletes upon their arrival at the airport. The hundreds of volunteers would be supported by professionals to back the delegations.

Andrianto mentioned Inapgoc has prepared 1,034 wheelchairs to facilitate the delegations. He added the organizing committee has also installed road signs and drafted the procedure in a bid to cater the athletes and officials.

Andrianto expected the airport would likely be packed by participants of the Asian Para Games which would take place on October 2-3, 2018. “Different to Asian Games that will be joined by more athletes within a long period, Asian Para Games will be held only two days,” he added.
