TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-run energy company Pertamina confirmed that its gas station at the North Lombok District in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has run its operations as usual following the earthquake that shook the region in Sunday, August 5.
The Pertamina gas station (SPBU) in Kayangan, North Lombok is currently serving around 8,000 liters of fuel considering that it is located in a strategic area and where the quake hit the hardest.
“We opened our SPBU today because we are sure that residents need fuel for their mobility,” said Paryadi, a Pertamina gas station operator today.
Manager Communication & CSR Pertamina Marketing Operation Region V Rifky Rakhman Yusuf further explained that two police personnel are on standby at the gas station to help level out the fuel distribution, corroborating with the station’s policy of limiting fuel purchases to just Rp20,000 for each customer per day.
According to Rifky, every Pertamina fuel terminal and depot in NTB such as in Ampenan, Badas, and Bima, has operated normally again. He also said that the aid provided by the company for earthquake victims have been distributed.
