TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Security, Wiranto, said that 7,000 foreign tourists had been evacuated from the tourist area of Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno after the Lombok earthquake.

“The latest report is 7,000 foreign tourists,” he said while observing the evacuation process in Bangsal Port, North Lombok, Tuesday, August 7.

The government has set ships, large buses and additional aircraft for the evacuation process. From the Bangsal port, the tourists will be escorted to Bali. Those who want to board a flight will be delivered to Lombok Praya Airport and be given facilities at the airport.
