TEMPO.CO, Surabaya - State-owned railway operator Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Surabaya operational area offered a ticket discount for those who would join in 2018 Folk Music Festival (FMF).
KAI Surabaya spokesperson Gatut Sutiyatmoko said the 10 percent discount would be kicked off in a bid to gain public interest using the train as a public alternative transportation. “As well as succeed the FMF this year,” he said in Surabaya, Thursday, August 2.
Gatut said the discount would be valid for FMF participants or visitors having the train ticket for Malang destination. The ticket booking started on August 1 for departure dated August 1 to 5, 2018.
“The service is only opened in the ticket booth of KAI (DTC) and Surabaya Gubeng station,” he explained, adding that the ticket booth would be also available during the festival on August 4-5 for the medium and long distance trains.
The trains were KA Gajayana (Gambir-Malang), KA Bima (Gambir-Malang), KA Malabar (Bandung-Malang), KA Malioboro Express (Yogyakarta-Malang), KA Mutiara Selatan (Bandung-Malang), KA Majapahit (Pasarsenen-Malang), and KA Jayabaya (Pasar Senen-Malang).
Folk Music Festival 2018 would be held for three days on August 3-5, in Kusuma Agrowisata Batu, East Java. Many musicians from Malang, Bandung, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Palembang and other regions would perform.
