Asian Games; BPTJ Discusses Traffic Engineering in Jakarta Toll

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Transportation Agency (BPTJ) head Bambang Prihartono said his institution applied several measures to smoothen the route of 18th Asian Games athletes.
To reduce vehicle density in the main roads, Bambang said his staffers were currently discussing to divide the city toll roads or Jakarta Inner Ring Road during the multi-sports event.
One lane would be specially set for athletes bus, while the other lane would be opened for public.
As earlier reports said, at least 40 toll gates in Jakarta would be closed either permanently or periodically during Asian Games 2018 in August, as initiated by BPTJ.

-Permanently closed at 06:00-17:00
Ancol Barat, Jembatan Tiga 1, Angke 2, Tanjung Duren, RS Harapan Kita, Slipi 2, Podomoro, Rawamangun, Pedati, Gedong Panjang 1, Jembatan Tiga 1, Kayu Besar 1, Rawa Buaya Selatan, Meruya Selatan, Joglo 1, Ciledug 3, Taman Mini.
-Permanently closed at 12:00-21:00
Slipi 1, Jelambar 1, Angke 1, Jembatan Tiga 2, Gedong Panjang 2, Sunter, Kebon Nanas, Jatinegara, Ciledug 2, Joglo 4, Meruya Selatan 2, Kembangan Utara, Rawa Buaya Utara, Pluit 1, Taman Mini.
