Police to Repatriate Suspected Terrorists Nabbed in Malaysia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police Deputy Chief Comr. General Syafruddin said the three Indonesians recently arrested in Malaysia for suspected links to ISIS would be repatriated to the country for further investigation.
“The National Counter terrorism Agency (BNPT) is coordinating with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM). We will take them back home and run an investigation here in Indonesia,” said Syafruddin in South Jakarta on Friday, July 20.

The three Indonesians were arrested by the PDRM after they were suspected of being affiliated with ISIS and are currently under Malaysian police confinement.
According to National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Setyo Wasisto, the three men were under Malaysian police monitoring prior to their arrests.

Malaysian police arrested seven individuals are strongly believed to be linked to the terrorist group during a special operation in four state regions in Johor, Terengganu, Selangor, and Perak from July 12-July 17.
