TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The First Lady Iriana Jokowi is scheduled to open the exhibition of 2018 Indonesian Creative Works (KKI) organized by Bank Indonesia (BI). The exhibition will be held on Friday-Sunday, July 20-22 at Exhibition Hall A, Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta.
“She (Iriana) concerns on the women’s program initiated by BI,” said Bank Indonesia’s MSME Development Department director, Yunita Resmi Sari, at her office, Tuesday, July 17.
Yunita said the exhibition would present traditional fabrics including batik, tenun, ulos, and songket, as well as traditional crafts from micro-small-medium enterprises (MSME) throughout Indonesia.
Aside from fabrics collections and traditional crafts, visitors could try the nation’s best coffee and culinary.
The entrepreneurs of MSME, meanwhile, could learn about the strategy to enter the global market through talk shows and workshops during the exhibition. MSME booths would also be provided for the public to consult on entrepreneurship.
The KKI 2018 was the third exhibition held by BI during the past three years. Yunita mentioned the products displayed were the premium one. “It’s premium on the quality, not the price,” she added.
According to Yunita, the establishment of KKI 2018 exhibition was a form of BI’s support towards the development of creative MSME, traditional flagship products that honored the local cultures, worker’s employment, tourism sector, and the national economy by enhancing national export.
