TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bogor tourism and culture agency head Shahlan Rasyidi announced that Bogor City will once again host the Helaran culture parade on August 12 which promotes the region’s tourism and local art and culture products.
According to Shahlan, the Helaran art and culture is part of a series of events that is held to commemorate Bogor City’s 536th anniversary which was originally planned to be held in June but was rescheduled because of the Ramadan month and to give room following the simultaneous regional election.
“We would also like to promote Bogor City’s tourism agendas to visitors of the Asian Games,” said Shahlan yesterday.
The Helaran will be held at the Sudirman Street and the water fountain that leads to the Kencana Park from 06:00 up to 11:30.
This year’s Helaran is expected to involve 5,000 participants that consist of art school members, art and culture communities from campuses and schools in under the Bogor city officials. The parade will showcase a cultural carnival, attractions from art schools, and parade vehicles.
