Indonesian Embassy to Hold Cultural Festival in Azerbaijan

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia for Azerbaijan will hold the 2018 Indonesian Cultural Festival or ICF in Baku, Azerbaijan on 11, 13, 15 and 16 September. The theme of the event is ‘keeping the archipelago greatest culture alive’. 2018 ICF will be more vibrant because it is held in two different places in the city of Baku, namely Heydar Aliyev Sarayi which is a prestigious place in the city of Baku and in the Fountain Square, which is an outdoor shopping center that is always crowded by the people of Azerbaijan.

Proudly, Ambassador of Indonesia to Azerbaijan Husnan Bey Fananie explained that 2018 ICF is the third time held in Azerbaijan especially in the area of Kaspia, where previously the first ICF was held in 2016 was received a remarkable welcome from the people of Azerbaijan.

Then the second ICF in 2017 was also attended by about 3500 visitors in 2 days of performances. According to Husnan, 2018 ICF will further strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Azerbaijan.

“Indonesia is very close to Azerbaijan, ICF is a great gathering event between the people of Indonesia and Azerbaijan,” said Husnan.

“I invite Indonesian businessmen to open a business network in Azerbaijan because Azerbaijan people love Indonesia.” said the best ambassador three times in Azerbaijan.

It is known that the Indonesian Cultural Festival or 2018 ICF is the largest annual event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI Baku) since 2016.

ICF activities include cultural art performances, such as music art, dance, and Indonesian martial arts. In addition, there are booths that showcase the benefits of local Indonesian products, Indonesian tourism, and in the same week, there will be held some activities including business meetings, exhibitions, tourism information Indonesia, educational institute visits, seminars, traditional art performances of Indonesia, music, and others.

Later, this event will be also attended by several Ministries of Indonesia and the Ministry of Azerbaijan in order to give extraordinary appreciation to the implementation of the Indonesian Cultural Festival.
