TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla is steadily getting confident that Indonesia could register itself as the host nation for the 2023 Olympics. The VP`s optimism arose after monitoring the development of the 2018 Asian Games venue constructions.
According to Jusuf Kalla, the Asian Games infrastructure development is currently running smoothly and at a high standard. He even went as far as to claim that it exceeds the quality of the London Olympic complex.

“I saw the London Olympics venue myself, Senayan is far better than that,” said Jusuf Kalla at the INASGOC headquarters on Friday, June 29.
Seeing this improvement, Jusuf Kalla said that Indonesia is building its pride to enlist a bid as the upcoming Olympics host nation. “We will bid for the 2023 Olympics,” said the Vice President.
The 2018 Asian Games is set to be held in just 50 days-time where the opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 18. Roughly, 15,000 athletes from numerous countries in Asia will participate in the second largest sporting event after the Olympics.
