TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - GoJek assured that the majority of its business partners can still draw money from their bank account balance throughout the Eid al-Fitr lengthy holiday.

“Every of our partners that have BCA bank accounts can still draw their GoPay balance anytime in real-time and will not be affected by the Eid schedule,” said Michael Say, GoJek corporate communication vice president in a written statement on Monday, June 11.

Meanwhile, Michael said that company partners have been informed about this and that a small portion of its partners that use the service from other banks can draw money from their bank of choice in accordance to Bank Indonesia’s operational schedule during the holidays.

“We remind our partners to not worry and keep providing the public with our best services no matter what payment method the customers choose,” said Michael.

GoJek is currently continuously improving the number of partners that use services from BCA to allow them to draw money whatever the situation is.

It is believed that a chain letter was spread across online transportation users, which was also spread throughout social media realm that recommended GoJek users to pay in cash, rather than through GoPay.

Head of the National Online Drivers’ Alliance (Aliando) Babe Bowie confirmed that GoPay money can only be drawn by partners that hold a BCA bank savings account. The money is said to only be able to be drawn after June 19.
