TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The capital's odd-even license plate policy on Jl. M.H. Thamrin-Sudirman-Gatot Subroto will not take effect during the Eid exodus from June 11-20 as the police view the period as national holidays.
“This decision resulted from the coordination with the Transportation Agency because the holidays/leave are national holidays," the Jakarta Police Traffic Directorate's head of law enforcement, Adj. Sr. Comr. Budiyanto said in a written statement.

Budiyanto said the legal basis of the decision was the Governor's Regulation No. 164 of 2016 Article 3 (2). The regulation stipulates the odd-even license plate policy does not take effect on national holidays.
The Government through Presidential Decree No. 13 of 2018 has announced a mass leave from June 11-20.
On normal days, the odd-even policy is effective on Monday to Friday at 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and in the afternoon at 04:00 p.m. to 08:00 p.m. As for Saturdays and Sundays as well as national holidays, the regulation is not in force.
