Police Question PSI Cadres on Grace Natalie Defamation Case

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two cadres of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Tsamara Amany and Andy Budiman, came to the Jakarta Police's Special Criminal Investigation Directorateon Monday, June 11, related to the suspected defamation of PSI chairwoman Grace Natalie.
Both arrived at the police office for questioning as witnesses in the case, which was allegedly committed by Twitter account @Hulk_idn and Instagram account @prof.djohkhowie.
“We are both examined as witnesses in the case of defamation committed by @Hulk_idn account against PSI chairmwoman Grace Natalie,” said the chairman of PSI central executive board (DPP), Tsamara Amany, at the Jakarta Police on Monday.

Grace Natalie reported two social media accounts to the police for allegedly committing cyber-based harassment.
Grace filed the police report on June 7, bringing pieces of evidence in the form of a photo uploaded by @prof.djohkhowie and six others uploaded by @Hulk_idn. Tsamara and Andy entered the investigation room at around 1:18 pm.
Tsamara said the report was filed not only to defend Grace's name, but also to act against hoaxes on social media intending to undermine women in politics.
“It shows the resistance against the defamation by @Hulk_idn that pollutes our democracy,” said the PSI politician.
