TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Court gave a sentence of four years imprisonment to former House of Representatives` (DPR) Finance Commission member, Aditya Anugrah Moha. The Golkar politician is also ordered to pay a fine of Rp150 million—substitutable with two months additional prison time.
Aditya was convicted of bribing Sudiwardono, a judge from Manado High Court, as many as Sin$110,000.
The verdict was read by chairman of the judges' panel, Masud, at the Corruption Court on Wednesday, June 6.
The judges assessed that Aditya was proven to have committed bribery so that his mother, Marlina Moha—the Regent of Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi—did not get arrested when appealing for a crime she was charged with.
Marlina was sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of Rp200 million for her involvement in a corruption case.
In addition to bribing the judge with Sin$110,000, Aditya also promised to pay an additional Sin$10,000 to the judge, but it did not happen.
