Ancol Sets Asian Lantern Festival to Welcome Asian Games 2018

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ancol Dreamland Park management plans to hold Asian Lantern Festival at the Festival Beach in welcoming 2018 Asian Games next August.
This festival will be held on July 29 – September 2 and is a part of event series of 2018 Ancol Asian Festival which lasts for 3 months, from June until August.
Asian Lantern Festival becomes a popular destination since it will be the center of the cultural introduction of Indonesia and Asia. Government officials and 2018 Asian Games Athletes are scheduled to attend the event.
In this event, Asian culture introduction wrapped in lantern festival with a theme 'the richness of Asian culture', such as historical buildings and Asian characters. The lantern festival is one of the new destinations that worth to visit because it is very Instagrammable.
In addition to lantern festival, the visitors can also enjoy Indonesian tourism boat festival. A wide range of decorated boat with Indonesian style will greet the visitor and will be one of educative maritime destination.
“Interestingly, there is also Dragon Boat Festival that shows paddle boats operated by professional talent,” said Deputy President Director of Pembangunan Jaya Ancol (PJAA) Teuku Sahir in 2018 Ancol Asian Festival press conference in Jakarta on Thursday, May 24.
He added, the visitor also could enjoy various types of coffee and tea from several parts of Asia at the Ancol Monument. There are some types of chocolate that also could be tasted.
