TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fried banana with a cup of coffee is a common menu for breaking the fast. However, a unique menu becomes public limelight in culinary festival dubbed Festival Kuliner Ngabuburit at Summarecon Mal Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
It is called Kopsureng, the fried milk with coffee milk, which is crowded by people in the festival that will last until June 3, 2018.
Kopsureng originally comes from Taiwan. According to the seller, Yunianingsih, Kopsureng is a coffee milk served with fried milk. The frozen milk -looks like cheese- is coated in flour and then fried in hot oil. After that, the fried milk is placed between pau or bun like a burger and served with brown sugar liquid as the topping.
“We use fresh milk, not a condensed milk or powdered milk,” said Yunianingsih.
The fried milk is offered in two flavors, Malaka and Snow. Malaka fried milk used brown sugar. While for the Snow flavor used a combination of white milk and refined sugar.
The fried milk is served with ice blended coffee milk. The visitors could choose sweet coffee milk or black coffee milk. The price is set at Rp35,000 for one set menu, Rp25,000 for fried milk, and Rp15,000 for coffee milk.
The festival is opened every day at 16:00 until 22:00 pm on weekdays and until 23:00 pm for the weekend.
