TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Private lender Bank Central Asia (BCA) denied any notification letter stating about account-blocking. BCA confirmed in the press release that it was not true.
“BCA has never issued such letter,” quoting the release received on Thursday, May 17.
The circulated letter stated the blocking of accounts and debit cards due to invalid personal data. The letter also notified that the customers cannot make transactions such as transfers, withdrawing and sending money.
The customers were also required to re-register their personal data at https://registrasi.klikbca.com/register-update/30826329. Otherwise, in less than 48 hours, the customers’ accounts will be permanently closed, as stated in the viral notification letter.
