TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ahead of the fasting month of Ramadan, the immune system should be maintained so that the prayers will go smoothly until the victory day, Eid al-Fitr. However, it is such a challenge to keep fit the body metabolism especially when the weather recently is inhospitable.

In the following, Tempo outlined several foods public must consume during the fasting month.

1. Avocado

Avocado juice to quench your thirst during hot weather is the best option. Consuming avocado every day will also help boost the immune system before the fasting because it contains high fiber and various vitamins.

2. Broccoli

Eating broccoli is also recommended to avoid various diseases. It contains vitamin C that can prevent the body from flu and infection. Broccoli can be processed into soup, stir-fry, or roasted.

3. Asparagus

Asparagus is very suitable to be served as a soup. It contains vitamin K, protein, and iron that provide enough energy during fasting. A warm asparagus soup is suitable for suhoor or pre-dawn meal.

4. Apple

In addition to the above three foods, apples are also called powerful food to boost the immune system during Ramadan. The vitamins and minerals in apples are able to ward off free radicals thus you can avoid degenerative diseases.
