The act is aimed at protesting U.S. President Trump`s decision on moving US Embassy for Israel to Jerusalem or Bayt al-Maqdis. Other than Indonesia, the decision has triggered strong reaction across the world.
Jakarta Police Chief Insp. Gen. Idham Azis hoped the solidarity act can go orderly and smoothly. “Insha Allah, it will be going smoothly. Let’s do the act in calm and safe, so the situation will be conducive,” he asserted.
The solidarity rally to defend Bayt al-Maqdis dubbed 'Aksi 115' (the solidarity act of May 11) starts at 04:00 local times and will be ended at 13:00 after Friday prayer.
