TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A person was killed in a traffic accident involving a Transjakarta bus corridor 8 of Lebak Bulus - Harmoni route. The bus crashed into a roadblock around the Simprug stop, Kebayoran Lama.
"It is true, an accident experienced by a bus from Mayasari Bakti operator," said PT Transjakarta's public relations head, Wibowo, when contacted in Jakarta, Monday, May 7.
The ill-fated bus is a light-green vintage bus with body number MYS-18199. The bus is known to be a new bus that began operating around March 2018.

Wibowo said he had yet to receive further accounts on the possible cause of the accident. He added the police were still questioning the driver and witnesses on the field.
The accident reportedly claimed one life, a local, who was crushed by a tree. The tree was allegedly uprooted upon being hit by the bus. Wibowo cannot confirm the news yet.
"We are still waiting for complete information from the police's investigation," he said.
Wibowo ensured, however, that all Transjakarta bus passengers onboard were safe. "No bus passenger was hurt," he said.
