TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi viewed the issue of foreign workers (TKA) invasion contained political motives. According to Jokowi, the Presidential Regulation No. 20/2018 on Foreign Workers aims to simplify the administrative procedures for foreign workers.

"This is politics," said Jokowi when giving a speech in Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, on Wednesday, April 25.

“The majority of them are local workers,” said Jokowi.

Earlier, Head of the Office of President Staff Moeldoko assessed the foreign worker issue is the common thing arising ahead of political activity.
