The panel of judges at Jakarta Corruption Court sentenced Setya Novanto for 15 years behind bars for his involvement in the graft case of e-KTP procurement project in the budget year period of 2011-2013.
Febri said KPK will study the verdict and further investigate another party involved in the graft case which made the state lost up to Rp2,3 billion.
According to Febri, KPK appreciated the verdict despite it was lighter than the charges demanded by the prosecutor. However, in addition to the detainment, Setya Novanto was ordered to pay a fine of US$ 7.3 million.
