TEMPO.CO, Mojokerto - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the Mojokerto Regency office on Tuesday, April 24. Several KPK officers, escorted by the police, arrived at the office complex before noon.
Some of the rooms they searched included the Regent'sMustofaKamal Pasa and his deputy Pungkasiadi, as well as Regional Secretary Herry Suwito, all located on the second floor.
The KPK then sealed the three rooms.
No news yet on what the search was related to, but the Mojokerto City police could be seen guarding the entire procedure.
Some of the civil servants working in the office were asked to be witnesses of the search. "We are asked to be witnesses for the sealing," Sartono, the regent's office's head of security told reporters.
Meanwhile, no one knew the whereabouts of the regent and the deputy regent. Employees of the building said that they did not come to work since morning.
