TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government has set a new target for the Mid-term National Development Plan for the period of 2015-2019. Previously, the government canceled 14 projects from the National Strategic Projects (PSN) list.

Rainier Haryanto, director of the Priority Infrastructure Provision Acceleration Program (KPPIP) said that aside from the 4 canceled ones, other strategic projects are targeted to be carried out as planned.

The projects that have been delisted from the PSN, he said, will still be carried out, but hey will no longer have a PSN status nor get PSN incentives.

For this year, the government is targeting to complete 13 projects worth IDR 46.78 trillion. Meanwhile, 66 projects are targeted to start operating partially along with one electricity program and one economic equality program. The accumulated worth of said programs is IDR 1,584.9 trillion.

Meanwhile, 28 projects will enter a preparation stage this year. The projects’ combined worth is IDR 829.6 trillion.

By the last year of this RPJMN period, President Joko Widodo hopes that 38 strategic projects worth IDR 165.7 trillion can be completed.
