Depok Police Deploys 10 Officers in odd-Even Policy Trial Run

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Depok Police deploys 10 personnel of traffic officers to monitor the trial run of odd-even policy in Cibubur 2 tollgate that begins on Monday, April 16. Depok`s Traffic Unit Chief Comm. Sutomo said the ten officers are assigned to directing those vehicle drivers who cannot pass the toll to seek alternative routes.
Sutomo explained the trial run started at 06:00 until 09:00 am. “We will deploy 10 officers to help the odd-even policy trial run,” he told Tempo Sunday, April 15.

Depok’s Transportation Agency Head Dadang Wihana said that he planned to deploy personnel to help the police managing the traffic. “We will stand guard in the U-Turn section before the tollgate as to reduce a line-up in the tollgate,” he said yesterday.
In addition, Dadang called on the drivers to further utilize public transportation. “But if they insist to drive, they can head to Jl. Raya Bogor,” he added.
Furthermore, Dadang predicted along Jl. Radar Auri will be congested during the trial run of odd-even policy in Cibubur 2 Toll. “So we will deploy 12 officers in the street considering the police and BPTJ conduct monitoring in the tollgate,” he said.
