TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta administration's light rapid transit [LRT] will be integrated with other public transportation modes, including Transjakarta.
President director of PT Jakarta Propertindo [PT Jakpro] Satya Heragandhi said the Velodrome-Kelapa Gading route would be integrated with the Transjakarta corridor four of Dukuh Atas-Pulo Gadung route.
“Transjakarta corridor four’s bus stop is in front of Arion Mall, we will build a lane so that people who want to switch from LRT to Transjakarta do not have to go out again,” he said, on Sunday, April 15.
Satya said the distance from the Kelapa Gading LRT station to the Velodrome station in Rawamangun was about six kilometers. Jakpro plans to build a plaza or a park around the Velodrome.

Besides serving as a beautification element, the plaza can be used as an interconnection area to the Transjakarta shelter.
For the initial phase, the fleet and LRT lanes will be focused on the Asian Games that will last from August 18 to September 2.
“After the event ends, LRT tickets will be integrated with Transjakarta tickets using One Ticket One Trip (OK-Otrip) scheme,” he said.
Jakarta LRT Phase I construction project spans 5.8 kilometers from Velodrome Rawamangun, East Jakarta to Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
The project is targeted for completion before the Asian Games kicks off in August 2018. Jakarta LRT is also expected to boost the capacity of the public transport service system and support the economy.
