TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airport operator Angkasa Pura II (AP2) will build the fourth terminal of Soekarno-Hatta Airport in the near future. The terminal will be located in an area that currently hosts the airport's cargo village.

AP2 president director Muhammad Awaluddin said they are still developing the terminal's basic design, which will be completed this year.

"Next year, after the basic design, we go into the engineering design. By the end of 2019's fourth quarter, we will prepare the tender," he said at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Sunday, April 15.

Awaluddin said the size of Soekarno-Hatta Aiport's Terminal 4 will be similar to Terminal 3, which now serves as an international terminal. Terminal 4's construction will start as soon as Terminal 3's is completed.
