TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corporate Secretary of Garuda Indonesia Hengki Heriandono claimed that the airline has not received the official notice regarding the lawsuit filed by one of its passengers for IDR 11 billion to Central Jakarta Court District.
"Until now, Garuda Indonesia has not received the notice letter from the court yet. However, we will cooperate with the related parties to settle this case based on the applicable provision," said Hengki on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
As previously reported, a passenger named B.R.A Koosmariam filed a lawsuit against Garuda Indonesia for an incident caused by the airline stewardess who spilled two cups of hot water to his body, causing permanent scars.
Koosmariam's lawyer David Tobing, explained that his client experienced the incident during a flight in Garuda Airline GA-264 heading to Blimbingsari Airports, Banyuwangi from Soekarno Hatta Airport, Jakarta on December 29, 2017.
Hengki denied that the airline did not provide proper first aid in the flight and avoid to take responsibility for the incident. "Garuda Indonesia expressed its concern and deeply regret the incident. We will further enhance our service for the passenger," Hengki asserted.
