Sports Minister Cycling in Senayan to Promote 2018 Asian Games

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi keeps promoting 2018 Asian Games and Asian Para Games (INAPG) by holding Gowes Bersama (bicycling together) event today at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.
“This is to educate the society. We start it (the promotion) from within our institution before inviting others to promote Asian Games and Para Games,” said Imam Nahrawi before the event.
Gowes Bersama is started in Sports Ministry building which involved ministry employees and followed by the public cyclist to traverse the road along Jl. Gerbang Pemuda to GBK Complex. Other than Imam Nahrawi, the Ministry's Secretary Gatot Dewa Broto and other officials joined the event.

The minister and his staff monitored the venues that would be used for the Asian Games while enjoying the cycling. He also interacted with the public who were using the sports facility around the complex.
“Only a few people participated in Gowes Bersama today because it is spontaneous, but we expected this as a routine activity in every Wednesday and more people will join,” said the minister.
