TEMPO.CO, Hanoi - The original Indonesian coffee stole the attention of foreign coffee lovers. This time, the Vietnamese were attracted when the Indonesian coffee brewed in the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2018 at Hanoi International Center for Exhibition, Vietnam.
Until the fourth day of VITM, the Indonesian Pavilion is able to become a visitor magnet. Besides finding the information about tourist destinations in Indonesia, they also want to taste the flavor and the aroma of Indonesian coffee.
Served by a barista Grammy Averil from Home Coffe Roastery, Solo, about 300 people always seem to line up in Indonesian booth. Many of them returned on the next day to show their satisfaction.
"The coffee that I drank yesterday (Toraja coffee) is very tasty, there is a taste of chocolate. Here (Hanoi), many cafes that provide typical Vietnamese coffee, but this is different," said Giang Nguyen (30), a freelancer in Hanoi on Sunday, April 1.
While preparing the coffee, Grammy occasionally serves conversations with visitors about the coffee.
"Yes, the conversation must be connected, especially if you meet with people who like coffee," said Grammy.
In VITM, Grammy presented four variants of coffee, namely Aceh Gayo, Toraja, Mandailing, and Sidikalang.
Head of Marketing Area IV Indochina Ministry of Tourism Heri Hermawan said Indonesian coffee lately is always used as a support in every tourism market.
