TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Police Special Crime director Sr. Comr. Adi Deriyan Jayamarta said the police were still awaiting the results of technical research from the Jakarta administration on the spatial reorganization of the Tanah Abang area.
“The Jakarta administration says everything it does is based on research, so we ask it to give us the results of the research. It’s that simple,” Adi said at the Jakarta Police HQ on Monday, March 26, 2018.
Adi said the police would consult with expert witnesses upon receiving the research’s results. “We will consult with experts about the results, and then the experts will assess them based on their expertise.

“The experts will examine the results based on their expertise, but the Jakarta government makes that research with their own experts as well. So we will combine them,” he said.
Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno said the Jakarta administration would soon announce the results of its research on the mid-term reorganization of the Tanah Abang, which was carried out in late February.
“We hope that we can announce the results of the research on the Tanah Abang mid-term reorganization after February 20. We will release the results as part of the first stage reorganization of Tanah Abang,” Sandiaga said at Kinanti Building, Epicentrum, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. The research’s results, however, has yet to be made public to date.
